S-corps next to be hitWe keep hearing how the Federal government is helping small businesses, but are they? The majority of small businesses are formed as S corporations due to some tax breaks in the way of distributions to shareholders and non-dividends. There is talk of the IRS taxing the net income of S corporations with a social security/medicare tax. This of course is the government's way of getting their piece of normally non-taxed distributions to shareholders.
